Edmonds Custom Home – Shingle Siding and Trim Repaint Review

We own a custom built home in Edmonds. The shingle siding and trim were in need of painting. Our main concern was to protect the exterior integrity of our house. We received multiple bids…and it is difficult to determine which contractor to use. Frankly, most contractors make a good impression at the sales meeting and a contractor would never give you a reference that did not make them look good. Even comparing pricing is difficult: our bids were all over the board. Ultimately we decided on the highest bid: Shearer Painting. John Shearer answered all of our questions (how will he protect our plants near the house, how did he determine his bid price, etc.) to our satisfaction and we felt they understood and were qualified to meet our needs. We were very happy with the outcome. The work was completed efficiently and professionally, and our home looks brand new. At the end of the project there was some confusion over the final invoice and I appreciate the manner in which John handled the situation: He responded immediately and really listened to understand our position. We arrived at a very positive resolution. We would not hesitate to recommend Shearer Painting.
