Benjamin Moore Color Stories arrives in Seattle. January 3, 2012 Wealth Asset Manager Karl Moore is Seattle’s first home owner to use a paint color from the new Color Stories line. Karl and his wife navigated their color selection completely online on New years day…the Seattle Benjamin Moore Dealership had not even received the new color fans or retail displays in early January.
Karl has a Lake Union view home built in 2006. The original spec color was painted on the walls and ceiling throughout most of the home. Karl wanted to add contrast between the walls and ceilings especially in the 40 foot hall space from the front entry to the living-room. The living room features large windows with a view of Lake Union and provides lots of great natural light to the hallway. The picture above shows the new color contrast which actually makes the space look much larger with greater depth. The ceiling height at 13 feet was also a consideration in selecting the value of the new color.

low-temperature-paint
Exterior house painting project Seattle. Painting project had been abandoned by previous painting contractor. Low temperature paints were used on this project. Started Jan 8th, 20120 completed Feb 2, 2012. The previous contractor had started primimng and painting before completing the appropriate surface prep. We removed the new primer, paint, and existing failing paint. The bad & incomplete work needed to be corrected and this added a significant cost to the project; this could have been avoided if the prep and priming work had been completed properly the first time.
