Shearer employees are background checked before employment. Shearer has a no smoking policy (yes, this eliminates many applicants) on all house painting projects.
Shearer Painting can handle most home repairs before your paint project begins: this includes siding and trim repair, broken window panes, resetting or replacing doors, and improving the run off for gutters and downspouts.

Shearer has a proven method to help you choose the right paint color for your house painting project. The Shearer recommended process for picking paint colors involves assessing color chips, looking at homes with desired color schemes and similair architectural features, and then evaluating actual paint sample on architectural draw downs and large scale paint outs on walls and siding.. Shearer will provide daily progress reports by voice, email, or text. Owner and site managers can be reached evenings and weekends, office staff will always answer calls during the day. Our normal business hours are 7am to 3:30pm on weekdays and we are closed on holidays. Shearer Painting may work on weekends by early arrangement. We aim to stay in constant contact during your painting project
Every Seattle Painting job will have a dedicated onsite manager for the duration of the painting project including set-up, surface prep work, painting, and clean-up.
Shearer will return for yearly touch-ups (window sills, inspect water entry points) to maintain your new painting and stain work. Some exsposed substrates like wood handrailings need regular maintainance.

Historic Home Restoration Seattle Video
May 2010 Shearer Painting restored a historic home in the Seattle neighborhood of Mt. Baker in Spring 2010. Our Seattle house painters took care to carefully prepare all failing paint on the brick and stucco. Our carpenters repaired damaged wood. Concrete, stone, and brick Sealer Video
August 2010 Shearer Painting recommends concrete sealers on residential, commercial, and industrial projects where concrete, stone, and brick are exsposed to sun and rain. Increasingly designers and architects have begun specificity, and homeowners have requested clear coatings to enhance and protect aggregate, concrete, and stone. Our Seattle painting company has expertise in the treatment, remeditaion, abatement and repair of residential painting problem surfaces failures, these include: peeling, flaking, and bubbling areas on wood, stucco, concrete, and metal substartes. Our methodical planned preparation includes washing, cleaning, scraping, and sanding all lose, failing, and delaminating paint. After achieving a sound substrate our workmen then prime all the bare wood, stucco, concrete, and metal. After priming our workmen repair any lose window glazing, caulk wood joints and fill cracks. Finally, our experienced Seattle house painter crew installs the manufacturer recommended number and film thickness of finish coats by spray, roller, or paint brush depending on the job and access conditions.
